THE SPACE BETWEEN SNEAKERS & SHOES
If great innovation happens in the crossroad of different disciplines. What type of footwear would your experiences create?
That’s the idea that signifies us, Gram Shoes. We are an innovative shoe company from Sweden, exploring the space between sneakers and traditional shoes.
Our design philosophy is based on the meeting between different worlds and disciplines. Like a sneaker outsole mixed with traditional brogue techniques, nylon watch straps and vegetable tanned reindeer leather from the north of Sweden. Or cutting edge laser, Morse code and confetti.
We make creative hybrid shoes. Most of the time combining well dressed with street style.
“WE ARE AN INNOVATIVE SHOE COMPANY FROM SWEDEN, EXPLORING THE SPACE BETWEEN SNEAKERS AND TRADITIONAL SHOES.”
We are Scandinavian. But new Scandinavian. Not afraid to use colour, creative details and ingenuity to make your footwear both comfortable and expressive. Wear our shoes at the office or on a night out and still never feel out of place in any situation.
Our design philosophy is based on the meeting between different worlds and disciplines.
GOING AN EXTRA MILE
We design most of our outsoles from scratch. Much harder but much more rewarding. And something that makes our footwear truly unique. We gladly go that extra mile for you.
Many of our products are hand made. The uppers cut by hand, hand stitched and hand lasted. And we only work with skilled artisans and high quality suppliers.
Our brand is centered around the concept of weight, where every new model is named after the first sample’s weight in grams. A gram weight on the heel. Nothing more. We keep our branding minimalistic.
We’ve created sophisticated sneaker footwear since 2006 and are based in Stockholm, Sweden.
We are a company that believes in making conscious and sustainable choices.
We work with leather suppliers that are controlled by industry standard auditors and that work actively with water preservation, closed loop water systems and waste recycling like re-use of chemicals used during the tanning process.
The leather we use is derived from the food industry.
We buy left over stock from fabric producers to make our footwear.
We make sure that wages and working conditions for the people making our products are descent and following regional standards or better. And we visit the factories frequently.
We use sustainable shipping whenever possible. For instance we ship our seasonal production by boat or road instead of air.
Our insoles are mixed with active carbon powder to create an eco friendly anti-odor environment in our footwear.
We use recycled materials for our packaging.
